Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Paro
Scenic flight into Paro Valley (2,280m). Airport transfer to hotel. Visit Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) and National Museum. Evening stroll through Paro town. Acclimatization and trek briefing. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2 — Paro Sightseeing & Trek Preparation
Hike to iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) - 4-5 hrs round trip. This spectacular monastery clings to cliff face at 3,120m. Afternoon rest and final trek preparations. Meet your trekking crew. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3 — Paro to Jele Dzong (3,480m)
Drive 30 minutes to Ta Dzong trailhead. Trek begins through blue pine and rhododendron forest. Gradual ascent to Jele Dzong, a ruined fortress with stunning valley views. First views of Mount Jomolhari if weather permits. Camp near Jele Dzong. (3-4 hrs trek)
Day 4 — Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha (3,770m)
Trail ascends through alpine forest and meadows. Pass through yak herder camps and dwarf rhododendron bushes. Reach Jangchulakha with magnificent views of Jomolhari, Jichu Drake, and Tshering Gang. Camp at Jangchulakha. (4-5 hrs trek)
Day 5 — Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho (3,880m)

Day 6 — Jimilang Tsho to Simkota Tsho (4,110m)
Climb to highest point at Labana Pass (4,210m) with panoramic Himalayan views. Descend to another stunning alpine lake, Simkota Tsho. Camp beside the turquoise lake. Optional short hikes around the area. (3-4 hrs trek)
Day 7 — Simkota Tsho to Phajoding (3,640m)
Trail descends through juniper and rhododendron forests. Pass Phajoding Monastery complex with ancient temples and meditation retreats. Stunning views of Thimphu Valley below. Camp near monastery. (4-5 hrs trek)
Day 8 — Phajoding to Thimphu (2,320m) – Drive to Paro
Final descent through forest to Motithang on outskirts of Thimphu. Trek ends at 2,320m. Drive to Thimphu city for lunch and sightseeing: Buddha Dordenma statue, Memorial Chorten, Takin Preserve. Evening drive back to Paro. (3-4 hrs trek)
Day 9 — Thimphu Sightseeing (Optional)
Full day exploring Bhutan's capital. Visit Tashichho Dzong (fortress-monastery), National Library, Traditional Arts & Crafts School, local markets, and weekend market (if Saturday/Sunday). Experience traditional hot stone bath. Overnight in Paro.
Day 10 — Departure from Paro
Transfer to Paro International Airport for departure. Last glimpses of the Himalayan kingdom as you fly out of the valley. Trip ends with unforgettable memories of Bhutan.
