Introduction:The Gokyo Lake Trek offers a quieter and more scenic route through the Everest region, leading trekkers to a series of shimmering turquoise lakes set against a dramatic Himalayan backdrop. This trek is perfect for those who want breathtaking mountain views while avoiding the busier Everest Base Camp trail.
After flying to Lukla, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi valley before branching toward the remote Gokyo region. The route passes through peaceful Sherpa settlements, open yak pastures, and glacial landscapes dominated by the massive Ngozumpa Glacier. The trek reaches its high point at Gokyo Ri, one of the finest viewpoints in the Himalayas.
